News on Britney:
-Britney has worked on making her album with Fred Durst, which shall be released in October, I believe.
The release date has not been released yet. The first single, "Shadow," will be released in August.
- Movie due out 2004; Official Statement:
"The film production company formed
by Britney Spears with Larry Rudolph and Ann Carli -- announced today that, contrary to recent rumors, their NASCAR themed
feature film project is alive and well.
The movie, titled 'Trading Paint', has been developed specifically for Spears.
She is attached to co-star and also to produce. Ann Carli, who also produced Spears' first film project 'Crossroads', expressed
amusement at the rumors.
'Britney herself was surprised to hear that she had allegedly said she would not be making the
movie,' said Carli. 'We have a wonderful script by Jim Hart and we are concluding our financing. We'll be announcing our choice
of director shortly.'
'Trading Paint' was written by James V. Hart (Contact, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Tomb Raider, The Cradle
of Life). Carli also says, 'There was never a plan for Spears to play a driver. Her role has always been, as was announced
last summer, to play the daughter of the head of a NASCAR racing dynasty.' The story is about a NASCAR driver who drops out
of racing under mysterious circumstances. Spears' character uses her knowledge and experience in the family business to help
him return to racing."
-Britney's 4th album has been called the most anticipated album
of 2003 on a top ten list.
-Britney DID admit to losing her virginity to Justin Timberlake. The two dated off and on, and they
broke up last year.
-It is rumored that Britney's affair with Wade Robson is the reason for the breakup. According to
Wade, this is not true. He says they never had an affair and that there are more complicated reasons for the breakup.
-It is rumored that Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River" video, and single were made to get back
at Britney. According to Justin, this is not true. Justin even called Britney after the release to make sure she was not offended.
-"Pop princess, Britney Spears was chosen to act the modern "Sherlock Holmes" role on a new movie
"221bCAUSE", stemming from the famous London's address of a famous nonetheless detective, who lives on Baker street b221,
and together with his loyal assistant Dr. Wutson he discovers many murder mysteries.
Britney will play a former New Yorkish
cop, who moves to London and starts on answering letters, which are designated for Holmes. After, she comes back to America,
there she investigates the case of the president's son kidnapped"
-"Baby One More Time" will appear on the soundtrack for the new Disney movie "Freaky Friday" starring
Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan coming to theatres July 29.
-Britney was nominated for a 2003 MTV Videa Music Award for "Boys" as Best Video from a Film for
"Austin Powers in Goldmember." She is up against Eminem, JC Chasez, and Madonna.
-In the movie "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" all of Britney's dancers were featured as headliners
during the High School reunion scene in the movie.
-To really prove that Britney is still human, here's a little comedy:
Globe magazine reports that Britney Spears and her sister
Jamie Lynn recently checked out a mansion in Palos Verdes, California which is still partly under construction. The singer
suddenly had the urge to use the bathroom while touring the estate, but the real estate agent informed her that the bathrooms
were being worked on. Fortunately, Spears was directed to a Port-O-Potty ouside, where the singer did her business before
checking out other properties. :)
